Twenty-eight Days of Art

Free-Motion Zentangle Quilting

Over the hump and on the downhill slope of Twenty-eight Days of Art.  Today I had a workshop on Free-Motion Zentangle Quilting given at the Quilt Loft.  We had lots of fun learning Tangles and how to use them in Free-motion Quilting.

Once we learned a few Zentangle Patterns, we learn how to convert them into a free-motion quilting design.  We drew our design first on paper, as one of my student did here.

Once we were satisfied with our design, we transferred it onto fabric.

It's now ready for quilting.

Here is Judy's Design.

She already transferred her design on her fabric and has started her free-motion quilting.

Other's like Dara, jumped right in and created her own Zentangle Sampler Quilt.
Here she is with her quilt partially completed.

Here is a close-up of her finished quilt top.

And here is her quilt all done and completely finished. Yeah!

I would say we had a very successful day.
