Tomatoes are FRUIT

This one I had already done awhile back, so I thought I'd go ahead and post my fruit.  And yes!  Tomatoes are fruits NOT vegetables like everyone thinks.  Tomorrow I will post for, all of you out there that think tomatoes are vegetables, real fruit.
I had done this at a class I took at CREATE from Cloth Paper Scissors and came home and journaled.

Nature's Rhythm

I'm not sure if I got the challenge right, but this is what I came up with. 
The quilt is approximately 20" X 20".

The Angel Fish is hand appliqued and it is raw edged.  I did some quilting, but I don't think it shows very well.  May rip it out and do it over again. 
Any and all comments welcome.

Bloc de couleur

I took the challenge very literally and painted on fabric.  I drew the design out first on paper and then transferred it onto multi-purpose fabric.  I thought about stitching over the paint, but don't know if that will take from it or add to it.  The dimensions are 11-1/2" X 16".  I have posted two versions of this and as you can see it doesn't matter which way you look at it, it will look like that is the right way, but the first one the right is the way I see it should be.
