Pismo Beach

Spent the past weekend in Pismo Beach, CA for some fun and relaxation.

Day one we headed out to the Monarch Butterfly Grove. The butterflies look like a clump of dead leaves until you look more closely and realize they are butterflies.  As the sun hits them and they warm-up, you are better able to see the Monarchs come to life and their beautiful orange colors starts to show through.

Day two, we headed off to Hearst Castle and then off to see the Elephant Seals.  You can see two bulls fighting, either over territory or most likely a female seal.

Took some walks along the beach and even captured a seagull in flight over the water.

Found a cave.  Yes, an actual cave although it didn't go very far.

Last day before leaving, I was able to get a picture of a beautiful sunset.  I think this picture is worth more than a thousand words.
